Trustees must lead, not rubber-stamp. I will work to enhance the oversight role so the board has an accurate understanding of what is happening in our 250+ schools, which ensures accountability for effective leadership.

Restore trust in the Trustees

I will work to restore trust in trustees by committing to evidence-based decision-making, transparent communication, and focusing on what matters the most, which is student learning and community confidence in the CBE.

Mending relationships post-negotiations

Whatever the outcome of the negotiations, school boards will need to repair trust among teachers, parents, and the community so classrooms remain safe and productive places to learn.
